Wars And Rumors Of Wars.

“Crazy Street Prophets”

I think we’ve all seen or at least heard of those “crazy” people who stand on street corners with signs that read ‘the end is near’ and screaming at the top of their lungs that “the world is soon to be engulfed in a blazing fire, Repent or burn in hell!!!” or something like that lol. Anybody who knows me knows that I am a devout Christian, and a die-hard fan of everything Jesus and biblical. So I believe in the end times, the second coming, etc. But even I find myself looking at those people and thinking to myself, “what looney bin did you crawl out of and how can we put you back there?!?!?” But looking at recent events of the world, the conflicts between countries and terrorist groups, the rising poverty issues, the all out war on Christianity (especially in America) and just the lost sense of a moral compass that has long since stopped pointing north, it got me thinking…maybe these “lunatics” aren’t as crazy as we think they are. Maybe their warnings of the ‘end times’ being close at hand isn’t as far-fetched as we choose to believe.

What Did Jesus Say?
As I stated in my first paragraph I’m a believer of the Word of God and I believe His word to be true. When most people think of the last days they think of the book of Revelation aka the book that scares the crap out of most Christians. The book we believe to be true but are afraid of because the events that are to take place in the “End Times”, the times those ‘crazy street corner people’ believe we’re living. But I would like to quote a couple of scriptures where the man himself, Jesus, talks in detail about the last days or end times and see if maybe these guys on the street corners are on to something.

“And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

““Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Only Just A Little Crazy
I will be honest, the recent attack in France a few months ago and other attacks in the U.S. among other countries prompted me to write this entry, but this is not an isolated event. It’s happening all over the world almost every week it seems. So I have a few questions I think we should ask ourselves, because whether you’re a believer, non-believer, atheist, etc., you can’t refute that these scriptures seem extremely accurate. Are nations going against nations? Are Christians being persecuted, killed and hated all over the world? Are there famines and earthquakes all over? Are there wars and rumors of wars? Are these the last days? If so, why are we as people and/or believers so complacent about it showing no sense of urgency or even caring? Maybe those people who believe the apocalypse is near aren’t as insane as we think they are. Maybe, they’re only just a little crazy.

Comment below low and give me your opinions and/or facts on the end times and if you believe it’s near or if it will happen at all

  1. Those type of people are just scared because of everything happening around them. Then again, they can be on to something. You just quoted most the stuff going on now, but I don’t think we as Christians should have a sense of urgency if we have a guaranteed spot in heaven. In fact we should have our head held high and keep sharing the word to help save people who are on the pathway of death

  2. I believe we are in the last days….and we should live everyday like it is our last day….but the most important thing I think is to share Christ with everyone we can…..share the good news of Jesus Christ…..if we are in our final judgment days……I pray That Jesus can say this about each and everyone of us….(Matthew 25:34-40)…
